Millford Acres Farm offers a paddock to plate experience, hosting food events that feature their homegrown beef and organic micro market garden. Owners Megan and Tony are seasoned caterers and share a passion for regenerative and ethical farming. They welcome visitors to participate in artisanal food workshops such as Cooking With Fire workshops; passata making; and seafood foraging and cooking. Workshops include a farm tour in which you harvest fresh, seasonal ingredients. They also host spectacular long lunch events, showcasing the bounty grown and produced in the Bega Valley.
Millford Acres Farm was first settled over 150 years ago during the gold rush. Miners settled on Sandy Creek which runs through the middle of the property. There was a large Chinese market garden on the creek flats that fed the fledgling community – remnant persimmon trees still stand as evidence of this time.
Megan – a life long coeliac – has created an artisanal ‘gluten free’ country loaf which brings her cooking passions and dietary knowledge together. The bread is stocked in food stores along the Gourmet Coast and with their farm produce at Bermagui Growers & Makers Market.
The thriving market garden sells its produce at local farmers market, shops and seasonally at the farm gate.
