DAY ONE
BRUNCH: The Wharf Local

A short drive through spotted gum forests and by the art studios of Tanja takes you to the Mimosa Restaurant. Perched high above the vineyard, the restaurant has an expansive deck with views to Biamanga National Park. The sophisticated menu features local produce in light and stylish dishes that you’ll fall in love with.
Your drive back to Tathra is dotted with options to explore art and spectacular scenery. Meet local artists in their studios, follow a boardwalk to hear the musical Mimosa Rocks and make your own rock cairn art at Arugunnu, or take an adventurous path to the secluded beach and rocky headland at Moon Bay. There are side trips aplenty.

After a day of exploring Tathra and surrounds, cocktail hour and dinner is calling. Whether you feel like grazing your way into the evening with a wine and cheese platter or settling in for a full meal, you’ll have fun exploring the wine-pairing board at Blend.

DAY TWO
Ease into Sunday with breakfast in bed or looking over the sparkling ocean from your balcony. The famous almond croissants and Alfresco coffee from Blend Providore are sure to impress – especially if you bring them back as a surprise from a short, early morning walk.
While you’re there, pick up a picnic hamper to pair with Tathra Oysters for lunch.
The rest of your morning is easy with a walk or swim on beautiful Tathra Beach.

The sun is shining and there’s more to explore right here in Tathra. Tathra Oysters has been judged Australia’s’ best on 33 separate occasions and are found on the menus of some of Australia’s’ most prestigious restaurants, including Rockpool Bar & Grill, Saint Peter, Bennelong, Café Sydney and Firedoor.
In true Tathra style, pick up these renowned beauties from a little shop behind the grower’s house. Add these to your hamper from Blend Providore, then head down the hill to Kianinny – a fun rocky bay, ideal for adventurous swimming and snorkelling, or just to sit on the lawns and take it all in.

Your romantic adventure continues into Sunday evening at My Valentina, overlooking the river and oyster leases in nearby Merimbula.
Valentina’s dishes are designed to be shared, served one after the other from the kitchen while you lounge comfortably on abundant soft furnishings.
The staff have intimate knowledge of not only the cuisine, but also the farmers and suppliers who provide it. They are passionate about honouring the flavours of each ingredient and bringing them to life on the plate.
