Every Saturday morning, local legends Lorraine and Beth rise early to bake for their market stall in Cobargo. This is where you’ll find true country hospitality – old style baking, served up with a welcoming chat. On the table there are cakes, slices, biscuits and Beth and Lorraine’s range of jams and preserves made with fruit from the nearest trees. Whether it’s the middle of summer or the middle of winter, you’ll find the Baking Buddies’ market stall opposite the Cobargo Post Office.
We recommend their semolina berry cake. Venture into the Cobargo General Store to buy some gold medal-winning Tilba Real Dairy cream to enjoy with it. It’s a match made right here.
